Do you want to know how to use clip art and photos to dress up your
class handouts, Web pages, publications, proposals, and letters? Do
you want to know how to get a copy of your favorite image on your
handouts or Web pages? Does the alphabet soup of TIFFs, GIFs, PICTs
and JPEGs give you a headache? Then Information Technology has a
workshop for you! The Graphix F/X workshop will cover desktop
publishing basics, scanning photos and slides, the many different
formats of graphics and when to use each. We will also cover how to
find and use the vast array of clip art that is often available for
free (some of these resources can be found on my Links
Page).
The handout from the Graphix F/X
workshop is available here in .pdf format, which requires Adobe
Acrobat to read it. If you are not certain what pdf and Acrobat are,
you might want to examine the
SSU PDF page. Acrobat Reader (which reads pdf format) may be
found by following links from that page, Adobe
Systems, Inc., the SSU_Server, or you can contact the IT Service
Center. Acrobat is available for Mac and Windows, and both will read
my files.
